The fellowship aims to support outstanding researchers and giving them access to Harvard’s resources, where they will address critical environmental challenges. Key Information on the Harvard Environmental Fellows Program
The Harvard Environmental Fellows Program is designed to support outstanding scholars by providing them access to Harvard’s cutting-edge resources to address complex environmental challenges. Over a two-year period, fellows will collaborate closely with the university’s distinguished faculty.
Fellowship Benefits:

Eligibility Criteria:
- Must hold a PhD or equivalent degree earned between May 2021 – August 2025
- Applicants from fields without a PhD can apply with a terminal degree plus research experience
- Open to disciplines such as law, economics, sciences, public health, design, humanities, and related fields
- Must submit a research proposal with environmental relevance
- A Harvard faculty host is required for the 2-year fellowship (applications without a host letter will not be considered)
- English proficiency is mandatory
