This is fully funded residency program, in partnership with the Toji Cultural Center and organized by Wonju UNESCO City of literature, The writers affiliated with any city in the UNESCO Cities of Literature network are invited. Cities like Krakow, Edinburgh, and others—to apply. The program will run for 8 weeks, from September 1 to October 31, 2025, at the Toji Center in Wonju, South Korea.
The aim of residency program is to showcase Wonju’s distinctive literary culture to writers and authors from around the world at the same time advancing UNESCO’s goal of cultural diplomacy. This initiative will help choose up to 19 writers and artists and will stay at the Toji Cultural Center. There are no mandatory projects to complete during the residency. This opportunity is designed for individuals who want to immerse themselves in a creative atmosphere and further expand their artistic networks.
The program provides full financial support, taking care of all expenses for participants throughout their stay.
